公元前八世纪最后三十年的阁楼葬活动（晚期几何学[LG] II）的主要特征是成年人在火葬上占主导地位。然而，这种转变并未在阿提卡的所有墓地普遍适用。取而代之的是，丧葬礼仪具有高度的可变性，这在早期是空前的。在某些地方，人们认为后期几何葬礼记录反映了受大都市的出现影响的当代社会结构的变化。收集和研究所有LG II陪葬品的证据，不仅是雅典的遗物，还是挖掘并出版的阿提卡墓地的极地动物，都产生了一些有趣的发现，需要重新考虑证明的葬礼的可变性和提出的解释。死者的待遇似乎很大程度上取决于他们的年龄，所有年龄段的人都有组织的坏死病。因此，需要在当代阁楼社会发展的框架内解决addressed仪仪式的辨别水平尺寸问题。
